Happy Birthday...I guess.

So yesterday I'm on my way to the Redhawks Game, looking forward to seeing MercyMe in concert. I notice that my car is getting close to the Hot mark on my thermostat. I think to myself, "Hmmm...what could that be about." I pull over to a service station to check it out. I pop the hood. Sign Numbero Uno that things were not right: Smoke rising from the engine. I check the water reserve in my radiator: Empty. Bone-dry. The Sahara has more water than my radiator had. Sigh.

So like the good little non-mechanic that I am, I put more water in what I professionally call the water dealy-whopper. I start her up again. It was fine for awhile...then it started overheating again. Holy crap. So I pull over, and called my good friend Scott, who was kind enough to come pick me up.

Unfortunately, there was some delay in his getting there. Whilst I was waiting, a nice gentleman helped me put more water in the radiator, and some oil in my car. So Scott arrives, helps me get to a mechanic and then takes me to the game. So that turned out pretty well.

Anyway, now I'm in Scott's office, listening to his radio show. It's really cool. I haven't gotten a chance to listen to it yet, thanks to my lovely dial-up internet connection. But it's really cool. Hopefully I'll be able to get my car fixed today.
